Helping others in need is such an important part of the American way of life, that schools are now making service projects a part of their curriculum. The importance of HALO volunteers and donors is vital to our sustainability. Our organization, together with the help of our community members and contributions, is tackling the complex homelessness issue. Thank you for all your efforts!                                                          Volunteer at HALO...Make a Difference in just a few hours a year  

  DRIVERS NEEDED FOR JOB/WORK RELATED BUSINESS

Sometimes job opportunities are available but because some people do not have a vehicle or they are not on a bus route, they are unable to get to the job site or even decline that employment opportunity.  HALO is looking for licensed, insured (liability) and reliable Volunteers who would be able to take our Participants to job/work related appointments or locations.  With the proper notice, the Volunteer would drive their own behicle or use one of the HALO vans. Volunteers can claim their gas/time as donations or they can be reimbursed according to current IRS standards.  Schedules can be set up in advance or the Volunteer can be on a list for on-call requests.  All Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.  A background check is performed on all Volunteers.

OFFICE ASSISTANT (2 POSITIONS OPEN)

Help us by using your data entry skills & knowledge (Word, Excel, Access if possible).  Various clerical duties including filing, inventory control.  This position is extremely necessary as many pieces of information must be tracked and compiled for the many funding requests and forms to be processed at HALO.

Do you have an interest in helping your community? Would you like to make a difference that you can be proud of? You can make a difference by volunteering for just a few hours a year, while at the same time getting the satisfaction of being on a team that serves a great purpose.

 HALO is recruiting volunteers for their Board Committees.   

Time Commitment: The HALO Board and committees meet 6 times a year, plus a few hours for preparing our goals for presentation to the HALO Board.
