Emergency Shelter Administrative Assistance Intern (2)

Position Description: Intern will answer phones, forward/transfer calls, take messages, greet visitiors, recieve and process donations, provide callers with basic information about HALO, Inc., check in participant mail, make copies, organize intake area, etc...

Position Description: Clerical duties, filing, case noting, computer skills, participant interaction. This internship would be great for the human service or administrative fields.

Life  Skills Intern (1)

Position Description: Intern will help develop, compile, research, and implement life skills curriculum. Flexible hours.

Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) Intern (1)

Position Description: Intern will assist in providing AODA groups and have the opportunity to provide one-on-one support to various clients struggling with addiction.

Human Services/Social Work

Transitional Housing Case Management Intern         (NONE AT THIS TIME)

Position Description: Intern will help manage transitional housing clients and gain significant case management experience. Duties include: housing inspections, client goal setting, one-on-one appointments, and committee participation.

Case Management Interns          (NONE AT THIS TIME)

Position Description: Interns will assist in assessments for new participants as part of the intake process help to develops individual success plans (ISP) for participants to determine the course of support and actions to be taken, help to provides one-on-one support to participants, and mobilize resources on behalf of HALO participants.

Early Childhood Intern (1)

Position Description: Hours are 9am - 2pm Monday through Friday.

Spanish Teaching Intern              (NONE AT THIS TIME)

Position Description: Teach Spanish to school age children for our summer program! Intern will teach Spanish 1 day a week for 1 hour (plus lesson planning time). June 22 through August 21, 2009
