About the Speaker:
"By all accounts, Teri Jendusa-Nicolai should be dead." - ABC News
“I’m just your neighbor. I’m from your neighborhood. I was educated, I went to college,
I had a very good family yet I fell into this...” - Fox 6 News
In 2004, Ms. Jendusa-Nicolai was left for dead after her ex-husband severely beat her and hid her body in a storage locker, in the dead of winter. Now an advocate for victims of domestic abuse, we are honored to have Ms. Jendusa-Nicolai share her story and her insights on being a survivor and transforming her life.
Read her incredible story here.
Transforming lives is what HALO aims to do with its Journey to Self-Sufficiency program. Since opening in 2005, HALO has helped over 1,400 adults return to stable housing with enough income and savings to support themselves. This translates to a 47% success rate, which is higher than the nation's average.
The event promises to be a poignant and memorable evening and will also feature inspiring stories from past HALO participants. We hope you will join us as we commemorate HALO's many accomplishments and growth of the organization.
Please note, the event, Ten Years...Many Stories is not a fundraiser and we are making every effort to keep registration costs as low as possible so that the most diverse audience may attend. No portion of your purchase price is tax-deductible.
There are no printed tickets for this event. A list of paid registrants will be kept at the door for check-in.
