"John was desperate and suicidal when HALO’s Outreach team found him. After two years in our programs, John has been holding down a part-time job and is just three classes away from completing his degree in Human Services from Gateway Tech College. Thankful for giving him a second chance at life, John returns to HALO on nights and weekends when he is not working to offer his time, support and inspiring story to others coming to the shelter for the first time."
